Structural Engineer

About this role

Apex Companies seeks an experienced Structural Engineer with a Florida PE license to design and oversee structural components for diverse projects including multi-family buildings, seawalls, and docks. This role combines design responsibilities with construction phase services, requiring at least 5 years of structural engineering experience and the ability to coordinate across disciplines and with external consultants.

What you'll do

• Serve as Engineer of Record for structural design components on assigned projects
• Perform structural engineering calculations and design for multi-family, waterfront, and park structures
• Coordinate with internal civil and environmental teams and external consultants on multi-disciplinary projects
• Review and oversee technical design activities including plans, calculations, and specifications
• Manage construction administration and inspection activities, including contractor submittal review
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies on project matters
