Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

About this role

Apex is seeking a Project Engineer for its Northeast Division to work on water supply and wastewater projects. This remote position offers opportunities for professional growth while contributing to impactful community projects under the guidance of senior staff.

What you'll do

• Prepare technical documents and designs for projects
• Assist Project Manager in tracking project schedules and budgets
• Lead design efforts on simpler projects
• Review project calculations and design assumptions for quality control
• Conduct fieldwork including surveying and water sampling
• Train and mentor entry-level engineers and interns

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• 2+ years of relevant engineering design experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or pursuing PE License
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience in engineering consulting preferred
• Developed writing and presentation skills
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations
