Appian Application Engineer

About this role

Appian seeks an Application Engineer to design and deploy enterprise applications leveraging Appian's platform and AI capabilities. You'll automate complex workflows, integrate systems, and showcase AI-powered solutions across the organization while working onsite in McLean, Virginia.

What you'll do

• Build and deploy web applications using Appian platform with embedded AI features to automate workflows
• Integrate business systems through REST, SOAP, and JDBC APIs
• Collaborate with stakeholders to redesign processes using AI-powered search, summarization, and recommendations
• Research and implement tools and patterns to accelerate development and AI adoption
• Support and maintain production business applications

• Appian development (2+ years required)
• SQL and relational databases
• API integrations (REST, SOAP, JDBC)
• Web application development
• Generative AI application building (preferred)
• Postgres or MariaDB (preferred)
