About this role

Applied Intuition is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join a new team building the core world representation layer for their Axion simulation stack. This role focuses on designing and developing high-performance spatial data structures and algorithms for large-scale, multi-agent environments used in autonomous systems. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in computational geometry, real-time world modeling, and C++ optimization to drive performance and enable integration across various domains.

What you'll do

  • Develop and implement spatial data structures and Entity Component Systems for world representation.
  • Build and optimize computational geometry and world-state systems for integration with path planning.
  • Write highly optimized C++ code for low-latency, cache-efficient performance.
  • Participate in architectural decisions and design clean APIs for cross-domain integration.
  • Contribute to tooling and automation using Python and shell scripting.
  • Maintain and optimize scene representation systems for real-time performance.
