Design Engineer

About this role

Applied Labs, a rapidly growing AI automation platform, seeks a Design Engineer to own the company's web and brand experiences from concept through production. You'll blend design and frontend skills to build polished, high-craft interfaces while leveraging modern AI tools to accelerate workflows, working closely with founders in NYC.

What you'll do

• Own web and brand surfaces including marketing site, landing pages, and interactive storytelling experiences
• Design and code production-quality UI with attention to typography, layout, motion, accessibility, and performance
• Build reusable components and design systems that ensure consistency across digital properties
• Create and maintain on-brand design assets including images, video, motion graphics, and illustrations
• Partner with founders to set quality standards and execute launches and new narratives quickly
• Establish patterns and documentation to guide future hires through component specs and creative workflows
