DevOps Engineer

About this role

Apptronik seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to build and own CI/CD systems, infrastructure, and developer platforms that accelerate software delivery for their AI-powered robotics team. You'll optimize build systems, release pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code across on-prem and cloud environments while partnering with security, embedded, and ML teams to support Apollo's path to market.

What you'll do

• Own and improve CI/CD systems, build infrastructure, and artifact distribution for all software teams
• Develop release, packaging, and distribution strategy for robot software
• Create self-service tooling and templates to reduce developer friction and infrastructure toil
• Establish reliability practices and participate in on-call support for shared infrastructure
• Partner with security, embedded, and ML teams on infrastructure needs
• Document infrastructure decisions and drive GitOps practices across the organization

What they're looking for

• Linux systems administration and networking
• Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm)
• CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Buildkite, or similar)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Python and Bash scripting
• GitOps and version-controlled infrastructure
• Build systems for C++ or robotics (Bazel, CMake preferred)
• Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
