Austin, TXmidAdded 2 days ago

About this role

Apptronik seeks a Hardware Integration Engineer to develop and bring sophisticated robotic hands from prototype to production. You'll own hardware bring-up, system calibration, testing, and serve as the technical bridge between mechanical, electrical, and autonomy teams to ensure Apollo's end-effectors achieve human-level dexterity and industrial reliability.

What you'll do

  • Execute hardware bring-up, diagnostics, and troubleshooting for new robotic hand prototypes and assemblies
  • Develop and perform kinematic and dynamic calibration procedures for robotic hands
  • Conduct component-level and full-assembly testing to validate performance, durability, and reliability
  • Design, build, and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testbeds for automated hardware and software verification
  • Analyze test data, document results, and provide technical feedback to mechanical and electrical design teams
  • Bridge communication between mechanical design, electrical engineering, and autonomy teams

What they're looking for

  • Hardware integration and bring-up
  • Electromechanical system testing and validation
  • Robot kinematics and dynamics
  • Measurement tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies)
  • Data analysis (Python, MATLAB)
  • Electrical schematic and mechanical drawing interpretation
  • Hardware debugging and diagnostics
  • Technical documentation
