About this role

Arc is seeking a Test Engineer to establish and own the testing capability for electric marine vessels at their LA headquarters. You'll design test plans, build instrumentation systems, and execute component through vehicle-level testing across battery, powertrain, electrical, and software systems while collaborating with design and manufacturing teams.

What you'll do

  • Define and execute test plans, procedures, and instrumentation strategies for battery, powertrain, electrical, and software subsystems
  • Design and engineer test stands for shock, vibration, thermal, environmental, durability, and dynamometer testing
  • Configure data acquisition systems and perform post-test data analysis
  • Conduct bench and field testing, troubleshoot failures, and drive issues to closure with cross-functional teams
  • Create test documentation including schematics, work instructions, and technical reports
  • Collaborate with vehicle and manufacturing engineers on test campaigns and prototype diagnostics

  • Data acquisition systems (NI hardware, LabVIEW, Dewesoft preferred)
  • CAD and FEA software (NX preferred)
  • Test stand design and development
  • Environmental and qualification testing methodologies
  • Vehicle communication networks (CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet)
  • Python or MATLAB for automation and analysis
  • Electrical and mechanical engineering fundamentals
