Design Engineer, Turboshaft Mechanical

About this role

Archer, an aerospace company developing all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, seeks a Design Engineer to develop turboshaft mechanical systems. You'll create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using Siemens NX while collaborating across manufacturing, testing, and engineering teams to advance sustainable air mobility.

What you'll do

• Create 3D models and assemblies for turbogenerator design and integration using Siemens NX
• Develop master geometry and skeleton models for complex mechanical systems
• Generate detailed 2D technical drawings optimized for manufacturing
• Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing standards to designs
• Manage design lifecycle including bill of materials and test profiles
• Interface with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and stress analysis teams

• Mechanical design with 5+ years experience
• Siemens NX and related CAD tools
• Stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA)
• PDM/PLM environment proficiency
• Design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA)
• Technical communication and stakeholder presentation

• Problem-solving with systematic approach
