About this role
Archer seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design and scale production of its Electric Propulsion System for eVTOL aircraft. You'll drive manufacturing strategy from concept through high-rate production, collaborating across teams to optimize processes, automation, and tooling while ensuring design for manufacturability and production reliability.
What you'll do
- Design and scale EPS production line layout, automation strategy, tooling, and ramp-up planning
- Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives for electric motor and propeller assemblies
- Develop manufacturing build plans defining part flow, line layout, equipment, and bill of materials
- Specify and validate automation systems, tooling, and test equipment; perform PFMEA analysis
- Author work instructions and support first article builds and production validation testing
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies
