Archer, an aerospace company in San Jose, is seeking a Powertrain Manufacturing Test Engineer to lead the development and deployment of testing systems for high-voltage batteries and electric motors used in their all-electric aircraft. You'll design manufacturing test strategies, manage automated test equipment, and collaborate across teams to ensure production quality and safety for their next-generation propulsion systems.

What you'll do

  • Lead end-of-line and in-process test development for high-voltage batteries and electric motors
  • Design and deploy manufacturing test strategies including hipot, insulation resistance, and electromagnetic performance testing
  • Specify, validate, and commission production test equipment with factory acceptance testing
  • Program and optimize automated test equipment, sequences, and data collection systems
  • Analyze production test data to identify trends and implement corrective actions
  • Support first article inspection, production qualification, and troubleshoot on the factory floor
