Solutions Engineer

About this role

Asana seeks a Solutions Engineer to drive enterprise customer acquisition and expansion by designing AI-powered solutions on the Asana platform. You'll partner with Account Executives on strategic accounts, architect custom technical solutions, and package successful designs into repeatable sales motions for the broader team.

What you'll do

• Execute pre-sales technical activities including discovery, solution architecture, demonstrations, and custom proof-of-concept builds
• Design original AI-first solutions that position Asana Intelligence as a strategic differentiator for enterprise clients
• Partner with Account Executives to expand ARR and maximize retention across Top Accounts and Enterprise segments
• Package successful solution designs into structured plays and demo assets to scale the field engineering organization
• Lead RFP responses and security assessments, articulating Asana's technical differentiation and platform architecture
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to feed customer signals into product roadmap

What they're looking for

• Solutions engineering or pre-sales technical consulting (3-5+ years in SaaS/enterprise)
• Large Language Models and prompt engineering (OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Nova)
• API architecture and custom technical solution design
• Work management platforms and enterprise project/program management frameworks
• Multi-stakeholder communication and C-suite/CIO-level storytelling
• Enterprise software sales and account expansion motions
• Hands-on AI tools and emerging technology applications
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience
