About this role

Ashby is seeking a Design Engineer to work on complex product challenges at scale, combining both design and engineering expertise to create beautiful, functional interfaces for a recruiting platform used by 100,000+ weekly active users. This role balances shipping quickly with maintaining high visual standards, and requires someone equally skilled in design and code.

What you'll do

• Design and implement challenging features that balance user experience with technical feasibility
• Contribute to and expand Ashby's design system with flexible, reusable components
• Collaborate with product engineers to improve visual design and information hierarchy
• Ship features quickly while maintaining high visual design standards
• Gather user feedback by testing with internal teams and customers
• Iterate on designs based on real-world usage and business needs
