About this role

Program Manager, Business Acceleration (NCG)

Location: San Jose, California, United States

About Astera Labs

Astera Labs is a global leader in semiconductor-based connectivity solutions that enable AI and cloud infrastructure. Our products help the world's leading technology companies build scalable, high-performance computing and AI systems.

The Opportunity

Astera Labs is looking for a highly motivated New College Graduate to join the Business Acceleration team and help turn important customer, product, and business priorities into coordinated action. This is an early-career program management role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex work, learning how semiconductor businesses operate, and collaborating across functions to keep initiatives moving.

You will work with partners across Sales, Product, Engineering, Field Applications, Operations, Supply Chain, and other teams. With mentorship and increasing independence, you will help organize cross-functional initiatives, surface blockers, maintain clear action plans, and prepare concise updates that support effective decisions.

This role is a strong starting point for someone who wants to build experience at the intersection of technology, business operations, customer programs, and strategic execution.

What You’ll Do

Program Coordination and Execution

  • Support recurring reviews of important customer and business initiatives.

  • Maintain project plans, action registers, timelines, and status trackers.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to confirm ownership, next steps, dependencies, and expected completion dates.

  • Follow up on open actions, identify stalled items, and escalate risks with clear context and proposed next steps.

  • Prepare concise status updates, summaries, and presentation materials for team and leadership reviews.

  • Help improve the team’s operating rhythms, documentation, and follow-through mechanisms.

Customer and Market Intelligence

  • Help organize information about customer programs, product adoption, market developments, and competitive activity.

  • Partner with Sales, Product Marketing, Product Management, and other teams to synthesize updates into clear insights.

  • Maintain customer and market trackers or heatmaps that show current deployments, active opportunities, and areas for further investigation.

  • Support recurring readouts on customer program developments and business opportunities.

Business Acceleration and Strategic Planning

  • Support initiatives designed to accelerate growth, improve execution, and close gaps against business objectives.

  • Help connect customer opportunities, product priorities, and cross-functional actions to broader team goals.

  • Track progress against agreed objectives and help identify recurring process or coordination issues.

  • Contribute to practical improvements that make it easier for teams to share information, make decisions, and complete commitments.

Semiconductor and Supply Chain Learning

  • Build a working understanding of semiconductor product development, including silicon development, validation, tape-out, foundry, packaging, and production.

  • Learn how supply-chain dependencies across suppliers and manufacturing partners can affect product and customer programs.

  • Help maintain reports that track key milestones, dependencies, constraints, and emerging risks.

  • Use data and stakeholder input to support clear, timely escalation of issues.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Operations, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related analytical or technical discipline.

  • Experience through internships, co-ops, academic projects, campus leadership, or other work involving project coordination, analysis, operations, or cross-functional collaboration.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments.

  • Ability to break down ambiguous problems, ask thoughtful questions, and communicate risks and next steps clearly.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear presentations and concise executive-ready summaries with guidance.

  • Familiarity with PowerPoint, Excel, or similar tools for organizing information, tracking progress, and communicating insights.

  • Interest in using approved AI tools to accelerate analysis, reporting, and communication while applying sound judgment and protecting confidential information.

  • Interest in semiconductors, connectivity, computing, AI infrastructure, hardware products, or business operations.

  • Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Leadership Characteristics

We are looking for someone who:

  • Takes ownership of assigned work and reliably closes the loop.

  • Is curious about how technology, customers, and business operations connect.

  • Communicates early when priorities, timelines, or dependencies are at risk.

  • Learns quickly and is comfortable working with incomplete information.

  • Builds trust across teams and follows through respectfully with partners.

  • Combines analytical thinking with practical business judgment.

  • Looks for ways to make processes clearer, faster, and more repeatable.

  • Is excited to grow into broader program management and business leadership responsibilities.

Why This Role Matters

Business Acceleration helps Astera Labs move strategically important work forward across customers, products, engineering, and operations. In this role, you will gain broad exposure to the AI infrastructure ecosystem while contributing to the operating mechanisms that help teams execute effectively.

You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced cross-functional leaders, develop strong program management fundamentals, and build a foundation for a long-term career in business operations, technical program management, product operations, or related areas.

Salary range is $110,000 to $125,000 depending on education, experience, and business need.

This role may be eligible for discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits.

We know that creativity and innovation happen more often when teams include diverse ideas, backgrounds, and experiences, and we actively encourage everyone with relevant experience to apply, including people of color, LGBTQ+ and non-binary people, veterans, parents, and individuals with disabilities.
