CAD Engineer/Librarian Associate (Fall 2026)

About this role

Astranis seeks a CAD Engineer Associate to design and model spacecraft components while maintaining the engineering design library. This 12-week salaried role offers recent graduates the chance to contribute to satellite hardware destined for orbit.

What you'll do

• Model and draw spacecraft components, structures, and manifolds using CAD software
• Maintain and enhance the design library and data infrastructure
• Document and develop engineering practices for efficient design workflows
• Support hardware development in a fast-paced environment

What they're looking for

• SolidWorks CAD proficiency
• GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Engineering drawing interpretation and creation
• Mechanical or aerospace design fundamentals
• Complex assembly and component design (bonus)
• Surface modeling (bonus)
• Spaceflight component design experience (bonus)
