Join Astranis as a Communications/DSP Associate Engineer for a 12-week salaried role working on satellite communications systems. You'll design signal processing algorithms for software-defined radios and collaborate with FPGA teams to implement systems that connect global enterprises and governments from space.
What you'll do
- Design signal processing algorithms for custom software-defined radio hardware including channelization, equalization, and carrier synchronization
- Collaborate with FPGA developers to implement and test signal processing on radio hardware
- Model end-to-end radio systems from Earth to space and back
- Conduct radio architecture trade studies and optimize system performance for global markets
- Run link budgets and performance analysis across diverse use cases
What they're looking for
- Signals and systems fundamentals (transforms, filters, aliasing, discrete/continuous analysis)
- Digital communications (modulation, coding, synchronization, fading, Doppler)
- Software development for DSP, microcontrollers, or FPGAs
- Scripting languages (Python preferred)
- Analog circuit concepts (amplifiers, filters, compression)
- Test equipment operation (signal generators, analyzers, oscilloscopes)
- Software-defined radio experience (bonus)
- FPGA development or embedded C (bonus)
Benefits
