About this role
Astranis seeks a recent graduate or master's student to join their Guidance, Navigation, and Control team for a 12-week salaried associate position. You'll design, build, and test satellite software and hardware that will operate in space, working on challenging problems alongside experienced engineers.
What you'll do
- Design and develop satellite guidance, navigation, and control software
- Build and test hardware components for spacecraft systems
- Collaborate with the GNC team on orbital mechanics and control problems
- Contribute to flight software that will be deployed on operational satellites
- Participate in hardware-in-the-loop testing and validation
What they're looking for
- Control theory and/or estimation methods
- Python and/or C/C++ programming
- Software and/or hardware design and testing
- Orbital mechanics knowledge
- Spacecraft design (bonus)
- Low thrust trajectory analysis (bonus)
