About this role
Join Astranis' Guidance, Navigation, and Control team as a 12-week intern to design, build, and test satellite software and hardware for high-orbit spacecraft. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to real space technology while gaining experience at a well-funded satellite communications company.
What you'll do
- Design and develop satellite control software and hardware components
- Collaborate with the GNC engineering team on spacecraft systems
- Build and test solutions from concept to implementation
- Contribute to projects deployed on operational satellites
- Participate in system integration and validation activities
What they're looking for
- Control theory and estimation methods
- Python and/or C/C++ programming
- Orbital mechanics knowledge
- Spacecraft design fundamentals
- Hardware/software prototyping and testing
- Problem-solving and independent project execution
