Astranis seeks a mechanical engineering intern for a 12-week role contributing to advanced satellite design, assembly, and testing. You'll work hands-on with hardware development for spacecraft heading to orbit, gaining real experience on complex aerospace projects.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, and test satellite hardware components and structures
  • Design and evaluate composite and metallic parts, bracketry, and mechanisms using various manufacturing techniques
  • Perform mechanical and thermal analysis on spacecraft systems
  • Integrate parts and systems into spacecraft while documenting procedures
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on hardware development in a fast-paced environment
