About this role

Astranis seeks a Propulsion Engineer to lead the design, build, and testing of satellite propulsion systems with a focus on test automation. You'll manage component and system-level testing, develop test equipment, and collaborate cross-functionally while supporting team growth at their San Francisco headquarters.

What you'll do

  • Design and build automated test equipment and test plans for propulsion components and systems
  • Perform component and system-level design, analysis, and trade studies for test equipment
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans while ensuring industry and Range Safety compliance
  • Conduct hands-on testing and qualification of propulsion systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet stakeholder requirements and schedule goals
  • Assist with recruiting and hiring for the growing propulsion team
