About this role

Astro Mechanica, an aerospace company developing supersonic flight technology, seeks an Avionics Engineer to design and implement electrical subsystems for advanced jet engines and aircraft. You'll architect fault-tolerant avionics from concept through flight validation, collaborating across disciplines in a fast-paced, test-driven environment.

What you'll do

  • Architect avionics systems for flight hardware and ground-based test infrastructure including hardware-in-the-loop test beds
  • Select, analyze, and integrate avionics components while managing reliability and fault tolerance
  • Create engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Develop and maintain software controllers and configuration for operating hardware systems
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines on system trades and technical solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems in a rapid hardware iteration environment
