Flight Software Engineer

About this role

Astro Mechanica seeks a Flight Software Engineer to develop control software for advanced aircraft as part of a vertically integrated aerospace startup. You'll architect and implement full-stack flight software while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

What you'll do

• Design and implement reliable flight control software with guidance from senior engineers
• Develop simulation and infrastructure tooling to validate flight systems
• Integrate software with embedded hardware and real-time systems
• Write clean, testable code with comprehensive unit and integration tests
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, propulsion, and controls teams
• Debug issues across the full software stack from application to system interfaces
