About this role
Astronomer seeks a Sales Engineer in NYC to drive technical sales for its DataOps platform powered by Apache Airflow. You'll partner with Account Executives on customer discovery, demos, and POCs while translating data team challenges into scalable solutions.
What you'll do
- Lead technical sales activities including discovery calls, product demos, and proof-of-concept implementations
- Translate customer pain points into business-aligned technical solutions
- Build and deliver customized demos using Python, Airflow, and related data tools
- Guide customers on modern DataOps strategies covering orchestration, observability, and automation
- Influence product roadmap through customer feedback and cross-functional collaboration
- Participate in regional travel (~25%) for customer engagement
