About this role
Join Ataraxis AI as a Software Engineer to build clinical AI products that predict patient outcomes and optimize treatment selection. You'll work full-stack across a physician portal, order management system, and medical image processing services, combining TypeScript/React frontend, Python backends, and ML infrastructure on Google Cloud.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain a Next.js/React physician portal for clinicians to manage orders, view pathology slides, and access reports
- Build and scale the order service handling patient data, clinical records, billing, PDF generation, and third-party integrations
- Create the slide tiles service that generates and serves DeepZoom pyramids from gigapixel pathology images
- Move fluidly between product code, ML infrastructure, and full-stack features with high ownership
- Collaborate with designers to deliver polished, professional UIs integral to the product experience
- Identify improvements, ship iterations rapidly, and communicate technical progress to customers and partners

- TypeScript and React (React 19, Next.js 15, App Router)
- Python with Flask and SQLAlchemy/PostgreSQL production experience
- REST API design and third-party service integration
- Tailwind CSS and component-driven UI development
- Testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright)
- Google Cloud and async/background job processing
- AI-native development tools (Cursor, Windsurf)
- Medical image viewer libraries (bonus: OpenSeaDragon, Recharts, Tiptap)
