About this role

A-TEK seeks a Senior AV Engineer III to design, integrate, and commission enterprise audio-visual systems for a federal client in the Bethesda/Rockville area. This technical leadership role involves overseeing complex AV deployments, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and building codes.

What you'll do

  • Lead design and implementation of enterprise AV solutions for conference rooms, boardrooms, auditoriums, and command centers
  • Configure and commission AV equipment including LED displays, projectors, DSPs, professional audio systems, PTZ cameras, and control systems
  • Program and troubleshoot Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Ross, and other control platforms
  • Design AV-over-IP solutions using Dante, AES67, NDI, and SDVoE technologies
  • Mentor junior AV engineers, review designs, and provide technical guidance
  • Develop system architecture, wiring diagrams, technical documentation, and lead commissioning and testing
