About this role
Atomic Semi seeks an Infrastructure & Site Reliability Engineer to design and manage bare-metal on-premises infrastructure for a next-generation semiconductor fab. You'll own the full stack of backend services, networking, observability, and automation systems using minimal abstractions and close-to-hardware technologies like Linux, systemd, and compiled languages.
What you'll do
- Design and deploy performant, lightweight backend infrastructure for fab operations
- Procure, configure, and manage on-premises servers, VMs, and single-board computers
- Deploy and operate backend services including Consul, Vault, Grafana, Victoria-metrics, Redpanda, and PostgreSQL
- Design networking components such as service discovery, DNS, reverse proxies, and VPN infrastructure
- Build scalable observability systems for high-frequency telemetry from fabrication equipment
- Implement automation for OS imaging, software deployment, and infrastructure-as-code tooling
