About this role
Atomic Semi seeks an Infrastructure and Site Reliability Intern to design and manage on-premises backend infrastructure for an innovative semiconductor fabrication facility. You'll work with bare-metal Linux systems, build automation tooling, and solve real infrastructure challenges in a fast-moving, hands-on environment focused on performance and simplicity.
What you'll do
- Build and evolve infrastructure-as-code tooling for multi-environment deployments
- Manage and maintain on-premises server fleet for high availability
- Monitor system performance and health across production workloads
- Design and implement alerting systems to prevent user-facing issues
- Build automation to reduce operational toil and improve efficiency
- Debug production issues and implement secure secret management

- Rust, Go, or systems-oriented programming languages
- Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals
- Distributed systems concepts
- Infrastructure automation and tooling development
- Systems reliability and observability
- Performance optimization
- Configuration and fleet management (nice-to-have)
