About this role
Atomic Semi, founded by semiconductor pioneers, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and build robotic automation systems for chip fabrication. You'll prototype robotics components end-to-end, moving from concept to testing in weeks, while collaborating with a specialized team across electrical, mechanical, and software disciplines.
What you'll do
- Design and iterate on machines and subsystems for automating semiconductor fabrication
- Create mechanical designs including structures, actuation, and complete system assemblies
- Integrate microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators with precision measurement and alignment
- Develop firmware validation and control system design for autonomous systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve automation systems
- Source components and coordinate with vendors to meet project specifications
