About this role
Atomic Semi seeks a hands-on Mechatronics Engineer to design and build semiconductor fabrication equipment and precision systems operating at the nanometer scale. You'll own the full development cycle from concept to testing, working in a fast-paced environment where prototypes are built in days or weeks, not months.
What you'll do
- Design and iterate on machines, subsystems, test fixtures, inspection tools, and sensors
- Lead system integration efforts, testing, and cross-team coordination
- Develop electrical designs including PCB design, wiring, power electronics, and sensor integration
- Execute mechanical design of frames, components, and assemblies
- Rapidly prototype, build, and test new designs
- Source and select components balancing cost, reliability, and performance
