About this role
Atomic Semi seeks a Process Development Engineer to design and execute semiconductor fabrication experiments in their Austin lab. You'll develop novel nanofabrication recipes, operate fab tools, and directly influence the design of custom manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced startup environment.
What you'll do
- Design and execute semiconductor fabrication experiments with senior process engineers
- Research academic literature and technical papers to inform experimental strategy
- Operate deposition, etch, lithography, and metrology equipment
- Develop and optimize process recipes across multiple platforms
- Troubleshoot equipment and recipe issues, documenting findings for the team

- Cleanroom fabrication with multi-step processes
- Thin film deposition, dry etch, and lithography tools
- Recipe development and optimization
- Metrology techniques (ellipsometry, profilometry, SEM)
