About this role
Atomic Semi is hiring Rust software engineering interns to build high-performance tools for semiconductor chip fabrication and design. You'll work on interactive editing interfaces, real-time collaboration systems, GPU-accelerated visualization, and distributed infrastructure across a 4-8 month internship starting in September.
What you'll do
- Create interactive CAD-like editing tools with low-latency geometry manipulation and measurement capabilities
- Develop production-grade Rust software for native and WebAssembly platforms
- Design real-time collaborative systems with state synchronization and conflict resolution
- Implement geometry, graph, and routing algorithms for performance
- Build GPU-accelerated rendering pipelines capable of visualizing massive datasets
- Profile and optimize CPU, GPU, memory, and network performance to maximize responsiveness
