Software Engineer II, Onsite Customer Growth

About this role

Attentive seeks a Software Engineer II to design and develop scalable backend systems and APIs powering onsite customer growth features. You'll collaborate with product, design, and AI teams to build data-driven capabilities that help brands convert website visitors into subscribers, working with Java/Kotlin microservices on AWS infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Design and build scalable backend services, APIs, and product features for onsite growth experiences
• Make technical tradeoffs balancing reliability, performance, maintainability, and execution speed
• Partner with product, design, AI, and data teams to develop intelligent, data-driven capabilities
• Proactively anticipate platform needs and design solutions supporting team growth and scale
• Improve system observability, resiliency, and performance at scale
• Contribute to engineering culture through high-quality implementation and measurable customer impact
