Forward Deployed Engineer (Design + Modeling)

Join an early-stage AI startup transforming construction design and planning by creating building code-compliant BIM models from 2D blueprints. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll bridge design expertise and modeling execution across multiple disciplines, supporting the development of AI-first tools for the architecture and construction industry.

What you'll do

• Create and review designs within at least one core discipline (architectural, structural, MEP, or electrical)
• Build and manage BIM models across multiple disciplines for various project types
• Support project delivery and improve design checks and generation logic based on modeling insights
• Execute modeling tasks using internal platform workflows and tools efficiently
• Engage with clients and communicate credibly in project-facing contexts
• Contribute to high-quality deliverables across complex building systems

What they're looking for

• BIM modeling across multiple disciplines
• Design expertise in at least one discipline (architectural, structural, MEP, or electrical)
• Knowledge of building codes, standards, and design requirements
• Complex project management experience
• Client communication and stakeholder management
• Proficiency with modeling tools and platforms
• Understanding of multifamily, commercial, and specialized building types
• Ability to learn AI-enabled workflows
