Mechanical Engineer II

About this role

Axon seeks a Mechanical Engineer II in Scottsdale to lead innovative product development for next-generation safety technology from concept through manufacturing. You'll own mechanical design projects, conduct detailed analysis and testing, and collaborate across functions to bring life-saving devices to market.

What you'll do

• Drive product development from conceptualization through manufacturing and production
• Lead ideation and design of subsystem and system-level architectural concepts
• Build and analyze high-fidelity proof-of-concept prototypes
• Perform mechanical analysis including FEA, tolerance analysis, and testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers and industrial designers
• Work with domestic and international stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

• Mechanical design and engineering expertise
• Creo or similar 3D CAD software proficiency
• Design of injection molded, stamped metal, die-cast, and machined parts
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Tolerance analysis and testing methodology
• Problem-solving and creative design approaches
• Technical communication and presentation skills
• Cross-functional collaboration
