Mission Engineer - Port St. Lucie, Florida

Florida-Remote (Remote)midAdded today

About this role

Axon seeks a Mission Engineer to embed with a strategic law enforcement agency in Port St. Lucie, serving as the primary owner of customer outcomes and operational transformation. You'll design, build, and deploy AI-powered workflows, integrations, and automations on Axon's platform while driving adoption and measuring mission impact in a fast-paced, undefined role that requires technical depth, builder instinct, and leadership presence.

What you'll do

  • Discover agency problems onsite and build working solutions on Axon's platform (AI agents, workflows, integrations, data pipelines) tied to mission outcomes
  • Design and ship AI-powered workflows with hands-on adoption support; measure impact through usage metrics and mission outcomes
  • Lead operational transformation by assessing workflows, identifying friction, and defining what to build before building it
  • Maintain 3-4 days/week onsite presence, troubleshoot issues across product and engineering, and iterate in the field until adoption sticks
  • Build trusted relationships with agency leadership and stakeholders; lead QBRs and strategic planning while defining success metrics
  • Capture field intelligence on workflow patterns and adoption barriers; turn one-off builds into reusable playbooks and influence product roadmap

What they're looking for

  • Platform building and configuration (DEMS, Fusus, AI Era, Records integrations)
  • AI workflow design (agents, prompts, RAG, evaluations)
  • Customer-facing technical leadership and operational transformation
  • Complex deployment and integration troubleshooting
  • Adoption measurement and change management
  • Stakeholder management and executive communication
  • Problem discovery and solution design in field environments
  • Law enforcement or mission-critical operations knowledge
