Software Engineer II, Cloud Engineering

About this role

Axon seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and maintain AWS infrastructure supporting a drone detection and analytics platform. You'll build scalable data pipelines, alerting systems, and containerized compute environments while collaborating with data and analytics teams to operationalize workflows.

What you'll do

• Design and manage AWS infrastructure including S3, EC2, Lambda, Fargate, SNS, CloudWatch, and IAM
• Build and maintain reliable, scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines
• Set up monitoring and alerting systems for data processing and model operations
• Manage Dockerized workloads and optimize performance across AWS services
• Support CI/CD pipelines for model deployment and internal tools
• Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and scientists to automate cloud-native workflows

• AWS infrastructure management (4+ years production experience)
• Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation)
• Lambda, Fargate, S3, SNS/SQS, EC2, CloudWatch
• Docker and containerization

• Microservice architecture design
• DevOps and cloud-native best practices
