Deployment Engineer (Field Operations - 2nd Shift)

About this role

Base Power seeks a Deployment Engineer for second shift operations to monitor and triage a fleet of distributed battery systems. You'll diagnose issues using telemetry tools, perform remote remediation, respond to critical alerts, and document findings for handoff to the day team.

What you'll do

• Triage fleet alerts and diagnose root causes using system telemetry data
• Perform remote diagnostics and remediation to resolve issues without field dispatch
• Respond to P1 emergency alerts as first responder and escalate with full diagnostic context
• Create and maintain service tickets, troubleshooting procedures, and shift handoff documentation
• Identify recurring fault patterns and alerting gaps to flag to engineering teams
• Reevaluate previously triaged issues to ensure systems remain in correct operational state

• Telemetry data interpretation and system log analysis
• Real-time incident triage and emergency response
• Monitoring/observability platforms (Grafana, Retool, or similar)
• Remote device diagnostics and command execution
• Technical documentation and written communication
• Independent problem-solving and sound judgment
• Hardware troubleshooting and fault code interpretation
• Battery energy storage or distributed energy systems (preferred)
