About this role
Base seeks a Supplier Industrialization Engineer to optimize PCB and PCBA manufacturing processes with suppliers, scaling production from prototyping to mass production while maintaining quality and cost targets. You'll manage supplier qualification, quality issues, and engineering changes to ensure successful product launches for distributed battery systems.
What you'll do
- Ramp supplier manufacturing lines from prototyping through full-scale production, validating equipment, staffing, and processes
- Assess and optimize supplier manufacturing processes to meet production requirements and quality standards at scale
- Lead supplier qualification audits and execute Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new product launches
- Identify and resolve supplier quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions
- Manage engineering changes related to materials, components, and manufacturing processes across the supply chain
- Provide feedback to product design teams on manufacturability and cost optimization
