Supply Chain Tooling Engineer

About this role

Base is seeking a Supply Chain Tooling Engineer to build internal software platforms and data infrastructure that power their battery distribution operations. You'll develop tools for supplier management, compliance tracking, and production visibility while working closely with supply chain teams to eliminate bottlenecks and enable manufacturing at scale.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain internal TMS, WMS, and MRP systems with data pipelines and integrations
• Create supply chain control tower with real-time visibility into supplier status and production readiness
• Develop procurement tools for supplier performance, RFQ automation, and bid analysis
• Build tax credit compliance systems for domestic content and FEOC verification
• Own data pipelines from ERP, supplier portals, and shipping systems with automated alerting
• Identify and automate manual workflows across the supply chain organization

• Production software development (web apps, internal tools, or data platforms)
• Data pipelines and API integrations
• AWS or GCP cloud platforms
• ERP/WMS/MES systems experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Modern deployment practices and observability tooling
• AI/ML for forecasting and anomaly detection
• Supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics domain knowledge
• API design and working with real-world messy data
