Cloud Platform Engineer

About this role

Baseten is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to design and build scalable, reliable infrastructure for AI model deployment and inference. You'll work on multi-cloud capacity management, GPU optimization, and CI/CD automation while collaborating with leading AI companies and learning about ML operationalization.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain scalable infrastructure for deploying and operating machine learning models
• Establish reliability and performance standards across the platform
• Automate deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines
• Own projects end-to-end from specification through execution with user focus
• Collaborate across teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the organization

• Kubernetes
• Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi)
• CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Scalable infrastructure design and maintenance
• Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, OpenTelemetry)
• Project ownership and end-to-end execution
• Cross-functional collaboration
• Problem-solving with good judgment on tradeoffs
