Security Engineer

About this role

Baseten, a rapidly growing AI inference platform, is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to build and enhance security across their ML infrastructure. As an early security hire, you'll shape security strategy, lead vulnerability management, and ensure compliance while working cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams.

What you'll do

• Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure and container orchestration systems on AWS/GCP
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and coordinate remediation efforts
• Develop and maintain incident response processes including detection and post-incident reviews
• Oversee identity and access management strategies and implementation
• Ensure compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other relevant security standards
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and develop employee security training programs
