Data Engineer

About this role

Bedrock is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines for their autonomous construction technology platform. You'll own data quality, pipeline optimization, monitoring, and help internal teams build data infrastructure while working on systems that directly impact customer experiences.

What you'll do

• Design and build robust, scalable data pipelines and ingestion workflows across a growing data lake
• Define and enforce data quality standards, SLOs, and validation frameworks for critical data assets
• Optimize existing pipelines for performance and cost efficiency at scale
• Expand monitoring and alerting coverage to surface data issues before customer impact
• Drive best practices around data modeling, partitioning, and compute resource utilization
• Enable non-engineering stakeholders to self-serve on data infrastructure

• Large-scale data lake and data warehouse design
• SQL and distributed query engines (Spark, BigQuery, Snowflake)
• Pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect)
• Data quality frameworks and anomaly detection
• Data pipeline monitoring, alerting, and observability
• Databricks and Spark (preferred)
• Streaming or near-real-time ingestion patterns (preferred)
• Data governance and access control
