About this role
Benchling is seeking a Software Engineer to drive adoption of AI tools for scientists by building end-to-end product experiences that help researchers integrate AI into their workflows. You'll work full-stack across an AI platform used by 200,000+ scientists at leading biotech companies, combining growth experimentation with technical excellence to scale scientific AI adoption.
What you'll do
- Design and build end-to-end product experiences that drive AI adoption, including onboarding flows and in-product discovery features
- Partner directly with scientific teams to understand use cases, gather feedback, and drive customer onboarding
- Rapidly experiment through A/B testing, instrumentation, and data analysis to identify activation and retention levers
- Develop frameworks and tooling to streamline testing, measurement, and scaling of successful experiments
- Shape Benchling's AI development practices and define best practices for scientific AI adoption
- Collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, in-person team environment

- Full-stack engineering (React or equivalent frontend, Python or similar backend)

- Analytics and instrumentation (event tracking, success metrics definition)
- A/B testing and experimental design
