Platform Engineer

About this role

A crypto payments startup is seeking a Platform Engineer to build testing infrastructure, internal tooling, and deployment systems for their stablecoin clearinghouse platform. You'll focus on creating correctness guarantees and operational leverage for a small, well-funded team in NYC.

What you'll do

• Own comprehensive test harness including integration tests, formal verification, and chaos testing for core financial systems
• Design and build internal developer tools that increase team productivity and efficiency
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, dev environments, and deployment infrastructure to enable safe, fast releases
• Implement observability infrastructure with logging, tracing, and alerting across systems
• Build correctness guarantees that enable confident shipping and reduce risk

What they're looking for

• Platform engineering or infrastructure engineering (3+ years)
• Test infrastructure for high-stakes systems (payments, trading, ledgers)
• Formal verification or property-based testing
• Chaos engineering and resilience testing
• CI/CD pipeline design and automation
• Observability and monitoring systems
• Developer tooling and internal platform development
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments with ownership
