Applied AI Engineer

About this role

BJAK seeks an Applied AI Engineer to design and deploy AI-powered features directly into insurance product workflows, from quotations to claims. You'll optimize LLM interactions, build production-ready AI systems, and collaborate with global teams to transform insurance operations through intelligent automation.

What you'll do

• Build and integrate AI-powered features into insurance workflows (quotes, policies, claims, customer support)
• Design prompts, reasoning flows, and structured outputs for LLM-based production systems
• Evaluate model performance using real-world data, feedback loops, and A/B testing
• Implement reliability safeguards including guardrails, fallback logic, and validation layers
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate AI capabilities into APIs and systems
• Partner with product and design teams to ship end-to-end AI features with strong user experience
