Backend Engineer - Quote Automation (Remote, China)

About this role

BJAK seeks a Backend Engineer in China to build AI-driven automation systems for insurance quote generation. You'll design and implement scalable backend services that handle pricing logic, eligibility checks, and insurer integrations while collaborating with Malaysia-based teams in a fully remote role.

What you'll do

• Design and build backend services for quote generation, pricing engines, and eligibility rules
• Integrate with insurer APIs, rating systems, and internal pricing services
• Implement scalable APIs and architectures for high-volume quote requests
• Optimize system performance through caching, queues, and asynchronous processing
• Debug production issues and ensure accuracy and traceability of quote data
• Collaborate with product, operations, QA, frontend and DevOps teams on end-to-end features
