Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

About this role

Black Canyon Consulting seeks a QA Engineer in Bethesda, Maryland to ensure quality and reliability of a modernized federal government web platform. You'll develop test strategies, execute manual and automated testing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate that new functionality meets user expectations while maintaining compatibility with the legacy system.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans for complex, data-driven applications
• Design, write, and maintain automated test suites including end-to-end, functional, regression, and integration tests
• Analyze requirements and user stories to identify gaps, risks, and edge cases early in development
• Validate API integrations and data flows between frontend and backend systems
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide continuous feedback to development teams
• Track, document, and verify defect resolution and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
