About this role
Blissway, an innovative startup revolutionizing highway tolling technology, seeks an Operations Engineer to build and manage production systems for ruggedized hardware deployed across the US Interstate Highway System. This role owns inventory management, procurement, manufacturing processes, quality documentation, and vendor coordination while staying hands-on with production troubleshooting and process optimization.
What you'll do
- Build and manage production inventory system including parts tracking, reorder thresholds, and Bill of Materials management
- Source vendors, negotiate lead times, and maintain supply chain continuity for components and assemblies
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures for consistent manufacturing and assembly
- Coordinate production runs including scheduling, material staging, throughput tracking, and bottleneck identification
- Own quality documentation including incoming inspection, build records, test results, and unit traceability
- Collaborate with engineers on design changes, component transitions, and test requirements; provide hands-on production support as needed
