About this role
Lead Data Engineer role focused on designing and implementing secure, mission-critical data pipelines within a classified government environment. You'll serve as a technical subject matter expert, coordinating with government and mission partners to enable reliable data flows across complex systems while meeting Risk Management Framework and security compliance requirements.
What you'll do
- Identify and define mission-relevant data artifacts and their lifecycle within the data architecture
- Design and implement automated ETL pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and distributing mission data
- Serve as technical liaison with external mission partners to define data exchange interfaces and schemas
- Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) process by producing security and interface documentation
- Develop custom transformation logic and expose data products through standardized APIs
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, implement monitoring/logging, and optimize performance for mission timelines
