Algorithm Engineer, Autonomy Planning & Prediction

About this role

Bot Auto seeks an Algorithm Engineer to own the engineering backbone of their autonomous truck autonomy stack, focusing on code quality, validation pipelines, and issue triage rather than algorithm development itself. You'll maintain a fast-growing codebase, build regression testing infrastructure, improve simulation tooling, and lead the process from reported road cases to verified fixes.

What you'll do

• Refactor and maintain core autonomy code for performance, maintainability, and scalability
• Design and operate validation and regression pipelines with scenario suites and release-gating criteria
• Improve simulation infrastructure including determinism, version control, and regression diffing
• Triage issues from road data and simulation, reproduce root causes, and coordinate fixes across teams
• Build debugging and observability tools such as logging, replay systems, and frame snapshots
• Partner with algorithm engineers, simulation teams, and operations on the case-to-fix workflow
